Company skate day in San Jose
Had a lovely afternoon of ice skating in Downtown San Jose, my company had the rink rented our for an hour and a half, along with catered munchies. I don't skate really but once a year at this annual event. But I did not fall down!

I loved ice skating as a child but now there are no rinks near us. As far as I know there is only one in South Africa which is in a shopping mall in Pretoria (about 1000km away).
@Umnenga - Well we may have more ice rinks than one, but still being in California I did not grow up with ice and snow, so ice is a very foreign surface for me to traverse. I manage.
Though roller skating is common enough, I never had a pair of skates.
@wxcruiser - I suppose you always want what you don't have. Children in Canada probably envy us our year round sunshine and game parks
